HABITAT SUPPORT PROGRAM

The Habitat Support Program provides monetary support to Habitat for Humanity organizations in the Charlotte region.

Awards were distributed at our Grant celebration events July 25 (Haywood) and July 26 (Charlotte region).

2023 Habitat for Humanity funding recipients

$24,500 was awarded to seven Habitat for Humanity organizations in 2023.

Received $3,500 to purchase and install kitchen cabinets in one of the houses being built in North Belmont. The house is expected to be completed by September 1st.

Realtor® Referral: Tanya Knutson, Allen Tate Realtors®

Received $3,500 to partially fund the kitchen cabinets and countertops at a home being built in Chestnut Park.

Realtor® Referral: Amy Valliere, Allen Tate Realtors® / Beverly-Hanks Realtors®

Received $3,500 to assist with purchasing flooring for a home being built on Catawba Street in Lincolnton, NC.

Realtor® referral: O'Neal Helms, RE/MAX Crossroads

Received $3,500 and will use the funds for closets and fixtures in the first duplex the group has ever built.

Realtor® Referral: Molly Zostant, ProStead Realty

Received $3,500 and will use the funds to assist with the purchase of new construction framing for House Number 59.

Realtor® Referral:  Cheryl Turner, ERA Real Estate

Received $3,500 to be used to purchase windows and doors for a new house being built for a single mother and her two children in Monroe, NC.

Realtor® Referral:  Kathy Wing, RE/MAX Executive

In the 17-year history of the program, a total of $321,2000 in grants have been distributed to Habitat for Humanity organizations.
